Mark Poulin

For Oakland-based Poulin, jewelry-making provides an outlet for his combined loves of drawing and metalwork. His designs are created by firing enamels on sterling silver pieces that are made from hand carved masters. Color is built in layers through the application of wet enamel and multiple firings. The final image is a screen print made from one of his sketches, which is kiln fired at 1,400 degrees.
